At Popcorn web design I was tasked with designing Wordpress templates for customers who did not need a fully bespoke site. I took to this task with gusto, researching their main client base and designing with them in mind. I found they primarily worked with architecture and construction, as well as beauty. These each had their own different sets of needs for their customers.
Architecture and Construction
What does a user visiting an architect's website need?
They need great examples of why they should use this architect, and an enquiry form. After researching other architecture websites I found that they needed to sell themselves on the services they provided, and be able to quickly get in contact with the customer. Why hide the contact us in the footer when the customer can be prompted immediately after viewing the work.

Beauty and Jewellery
When designing with the beauty templates there had to be a few versions, for e-commerce and not. A hairdressers for example may need their prices listed on site with their services, but they would work like the architecture site and be enquiry based.
For the e-commerce version I played with images to show how products can shine. Rather than being a slew of skus I wanted to make the products inspirational to the customer.
